Zoe Daniel MP
A complete digital presence for a Federal Member of Parliament
Zoe Daniel engaged GRZZ to take her website from concept to completion — handling strategy, wireframes, design, build and launch for one of Australia's most closely watched independent MPs. Independent Federal Member for Goldstein
Zoe Daniel is the Independent Federal Member for Goldstein and one of the prominent teal independents who reshaped the Australian political landscape in 2022. As a former ABC foreign correspondent and journalist, she brought credibility and a clear public profile — but needed a digital presence that matched the professionalism and purpose of her parliamentary work, and could serve a diverse audience of constituents, media, supporters and stakeholders.
The brief was comprehensive: design and build a site from the ground up that could handle high volumes of content, support ongoing community engagement and reflect the seriousness and accessibility of Zoe's work in parliament — without feeling like a generic political website.
Strategy & Design - Built around how people actually use it
“Working with GRZZ was genuinely one of the smoother agency relationships I’ve had. Managing the digital presence for a Federal MP means working to timelines that aren’t always predictable, and Grzz handled that with real professionalism. They understood the brief without needing it over-explained, anticipated what we needed before we asked, and were flexible when our schedule shifted. Professional, responsive and honestly really lovely to work with at every step. We were delighted with the final result.
”
GRZZ took the project from wireframes through to final build, which meant thinking carefully about structure before a single design decision was made. Political and parliamentary websites carry a specific challenge: they need to communicate policies clearly, serve constituents looking for help, keep media informed and allow supporters to get involved - often all at once.
Working in Figma, Grzz developed wireframes and UX/UI designs that prioritised clear navigation and purposeful user journeys. The visual identity was considered but restrained -professional and trustworthy without being corporate, and distinctly Zoe's rather than a template.
News & Content — Designed for scale
One of the most important and technically considered features of the site is its News section. As a working MP, Zoe publishes a high volume of updates, statements, media releases and policy content - content that needs to be both findable and relevant to different audiences.
GRZZ built a flexible, filterable News architecture that allows visitors to navigate by News Type or Tags, making it straightforward to find relevant content even across hundreds of articles. Rather than a simple chronological feed, the system was designed to surface the right content to the right visitor - whether they're a journalist looking for a media release or a constituent following a specific local issue.
Development — Flexible, secure and built to last
The site was built on WordPress using Elementor Pro, with a fully responsive build across mobile and tablet. On-page SEO was implemented throughout to support discoverability, and an e-commerce component was integrated to support campaign merchandise and fundraising.
Given the profile of the client and the nature of parliamentary work, security was a priority — with ongoing maintenance and security monitoring built into the engagement from the outset.

The result
A complete, professional digital platform delivered end-to-end by Grzz — from the first wireframe to a live, fully operational site. The finished product gives Zoe Daniel a credible, scalable online home that works as hard as she does: communicating her work clearly, engaging her community and holding up under the scrutiny that comes with a high public profile.
